Welcome aboard the Sun

I finally have internet access! The past few days have been crazy so I wasn't able to get this set up until now.

Saturday morning - woke up at 7am for breakfest, get on bus at 8am, wait out side the ship for about 1.5 hours, go through personell, go to room, explore the ship, go to work!

On sea days, which Monday was, we work from 9-12, 2-5, and 7-10. In between these times we eat in the crew mess, which mostly serves the same stuff, but has a good salad bar, nap, or just hang around. After work there is a lot to do, but that mostly means just getting drinks with my co-workers or dancing. I did play bingo, but did not win.

Tuesday we went to Roatan, it is a very poor place, but very beautiful. I dove right into the ocean. it was SO WARM!!! It is rain forest climate here, so it is very muggy, humid, and rainy. While in the ocean it was pouring, but very light/misty rain, it was so warm and even with the very dark and cloudy sky, beautiful. It is a small island and very hilly. I also made a friend with a little boy that lives there, he was really sweet. I hope to see him next time and buy him lunch or something. He hangs around and tells the touristss about the shops and typically gets a dollor from them. Other children were also carrying umbrellas for people for money. It is kinda sad there, but they have pet monkeys.

After Roatan we had some time to relax before work. On Port days we work from 7-10.

Today we went to Belize City, which was boring. You get off the tender on the pier with a bunch or shops. I had an AMAZING chicken burrito. Mostly it is just dumb shops. We plan on doing tours/excursions in Belize since there isnt much to do, not even a beach!!!

So that is that so far. It hs been amazing and the work is good. It is just insane being in a small room with 30 2-5 year olds.... really really crazy. If it was 3-5 it wouldn't be so bad... it's the 2 year olds. They just cry anc cry... but it is all good, apparently next week there will only be like 12 kids. wooo.

Happy Thanksgiving.
