Today was SUCH a good day in roatan. I absolutely LOVE this place. And the sun actually came out. When we first got up it was looking pretty bad, we had boat drill followed by captain's staff meeting and then cruise staff meeting. It was about noon when we could get off, I did put on my bathing suit, but a tshirt instead of a tank. Big mistake. It was so gorgeous. I took about a million pictures because the last two times here it was overcast. I can't believe how beautiful it is with the sun out. I wish internet didn't suck, I would post pictures... I must try again.
I went to lunch at half moon bay, its near the west end where we usually go, just a little farther. We ate at a restaurant that was out on a small pier over the water, gorgeous. Had delicious drinks and nachos. It was only 3 of us so it was nice to be a smaller group for a change, very relaxing. After we went back to where the ship is to do some shopping. We found a place, it's a little far, that gives us a huge discount for being crew, so I got some nice gifts. We also got a really nice carved box for our supervisor who is retiring from ships after this week.
After getting back on the ship I did the yoga dvd with crouton again, I am going to try to do it as much as possible with her. Increased flexibility and relaxation here I come.
Today definetly felt like a vacation day, it really made me feel lucky for this experience! And I really fell in love with roatan, as of right now, it's in my top 5 favorite places in the world.
Oh and I am no longer using the phone outside of Miami. I talked with crouton about it and she said if it isn't roaming, like it wasn't yesterday, that means it is prolly picking up maritime which can seriously cost $7 a minute... she told me a girl came home from her contract to find a $1000 phone bill... so I am done with the phone just in case. If that it true I apologize now dad!!! Corey and I will pay for it though, don't worry.
