Didn’t go off today, was going to, but I couldn’t find my buddy Ted (he had invited me to go for Chinese with some casino folk). Instead I met up with the girls at the crew bbq out on the aft deck, how nice. I also ate with a new hosti, Jayne, from Australia, she’s a lot of fun and I am going to join her at Barracuda tomorrow. It is weird, none of the YCs really want to get off the ship ever, which will help in the saving money effort. Due to this, I am about to head to the gym! Yay me.
I have been thinking about the whole transferring thing. It is a super bummer that I would miss the Panama Canal, Alaska, and all that… and of course the largest bummer being that I miss Crouton. But I thought about the good things. The ship sails from Miami to Samana, Tortola, St. Thomas, and Great Stirrup Cay. That would be 3 new, tropical, ports for me, and would be adding a day I could swim (since I can’t swim in Belize). This ships repositions to New York. From New York it sails to Bermuda, stopping in one city for one port day and then the next day stays the night in another city. I think that would be nice, it isn’t Boston, but maybe some people could take the trek to NYC to see me at least once. The other thing is that my friend Ted (the one I mentioned above) is transferring to the Dawn the same day, so at least I would know 1 person. The even better thing is that Mango is supposed to be joining the Dawn on March 16 after her vacation, if she does that I will be happy and could deal a lot better with the whole situation. I am still very upset that they are doing this to me, but it turns out that there are some bright sides.
